NOTES: Shawano County Journal – Thursday, Feb 15, 1894: Mr. FREDERICK JUNG, one of the oldest settlers in the town of Herman, died at the home of his son Ferdinand in that town last Monday, aged 81 years. Mr. Jung was a native of Germany, and came to this country 26 years ago. An aged wife and family of 4 daughters and 5 sons survive him, of whom Mr. E. Jung, of this city, is one. The funeral took place yesterday. NOTES: Shawano County Journal – Thursday, Aug. 8, 1895: Mrs. JOHANNA JUNG, mother of Ernst Jung, of this city, died on Friday evening of last week at the home of her son Ferdinand in the town of Herman. She was 81 years of age and resided in this county for nearly 30 years. The funeral took place Monday afternoon.

Noy, of Pella. “The wife of FERDINAND JUNG, we regret to learn, died last Tuesday at their home in Herman, The funeral services were held Sunday. Mr. Jung, who is one of our best citizens, has the hearty sympathy of a host of friends and neighbors.” Married Augusta Fredricke Gentz (W. Auguste E. Shawano County Advocate, Tuesday, March l8, 1919: DIED ON TUESDAY LAST - On Tuesday evening, March 11th, Ferdinand Jung, aged 71 years, passed away at his home in the town of Herman.
